Welcome to the Romantic Cities, where sparkling moments await you!
This year the German national tourist board specially promotes the wine theme. There is no better place enjoying German wine than in Rhineland-Palatinate! Romantic Cities: sparkling moments. These moments are guaranteed in the five historical cities of Mainz, Trier, Koblenz, Speyer and Worms, located near the Rhine and the Mosel rivers in the south west of Germany. The German Wine Institute recently included four cities officially in the German wine culture highlights. This award was made for the first time at the end of 2010. Easily accessible for a low price, starting at €49.00, with Ryanair from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. The Romantic Cities of Mainz, Trier, Koblenz, Speyer and Worms have always stood for great cultural and culinary delight thanks to their numerous UNESCO world heritage sites and their geographic proximity to Germany's largest wine-growing areas. Just that now this fact has also been officially confirmed by the highest expert authority. In 2010, the German Wine Institute (DWI) distinguished 40 "Wine Culture Highlights" for the first time ever. Their choice included four Romantic Cities. Find out more about it!
